Taziky Vehicle Evaluator is a Chrome browser extension that reads vehicle data from CarMax Auction listing pages and sends it to taziky.com to retrieve valuation estimates. Since version 4.0 the extension requires a taziky.com account. This policy explains what data is accessed, what is sent to taziky.com, what is stored, and what is never collected.
Evaluations require signing in with your taziky.com account from the extension's toolbar popup. During sign-in the extension sends your email address, password, and the SMS one-time code you enter to taziky.com over HTTPS, and receives access tokens in return. The tokens are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so you stay signed in; they are attached to every valuation request and are removed when you click Sign out. The extension never stores your password. If you do not have an account, the popup links to the registration page on taziky.com.
When you run an evaluation, the extension reads the following fields directly from the CarMax Auction page you have open:
This data is read solely from the page rendered in your browser. The extension does not access your CarMax account credentials, personal profile, payment information, or any other data on CarMax pages.
For each evaluation the extension sends to taziky.com over HTTPS: the VIN, mileage, and defect text, your sign-in token, the optional repair labor rate you typed into the panel, and the extension version. No other service or third party receives this data.
The extension communicates only with:

taziky.com keeps a record of each evaluation it performs — the time, a one-way hash of the VIN (the VIN itself is not stored in that record), which client made the request (extension, website, or partner), the valuation path, and the estimated value — to operate the service and show aggregate usage counts. taziky.com also reports each evaluation to Google Analytics as an aggregate event containing the hashed VIN, vehicle make, model, and year, and value band, never the raw VIN, your email, or any other personal data. Your account data (email, phone number) is handled under taziky.com's privacy policy.
The extension does not collect, store, or transmit:

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
